Italian stage debut as Baron Scarpia performed with only 3 hours notice and no rehearsals prior to the performance, but directly on stage for the first time as Scarpia.
My very first recital concert at Sala Baladini in the summer of 1986 Rome - 24 years old - in remembrance of the great Maestro Paolo Silveri presenting the concert. Here I am singing the famous Prolog of Tonio from Ruggiero Leoncavallo's opera 'I Pagliacci'.
